Stuart Frazer scoops national design award
We are delighted to have won the New Designer of the Year award at the for a kitchen project we have recently completed in Blackburn.
Held in the Pavilion in one of London’s most iconic landmarks, The Tower of London, the awards celebrated the very best of kitchen design. Glitz and glamour ruled, and after a great night, we were delighted to beat stiff competition to win this coveted award.
The judges recognised the skills required to design a kitchen in a difficult space and commended the end result: a visually stunning, functional and contemporary kitchen. Our Preston team faced real challenges when designing the kitchen for this Blackburn cottage. A big wish list for a small room really tested our designers, but by re-modelling the space and removing two walls, we created the owner’s dream kitchen.
Top of their list was a wide range of Miele appliances – normally no problem, but incorporating them into a small space was tricky – especially when a dining area, soft seating area and breakfast bar were also must-haves! Add to this the desire to conceal wiring from lots of multimedia devices and you have a complex job on your hands. By working closely with the customer we overcame these problems and created a kitchen that has everything the owners asked for.
The winning kitchen was the S2 in lotus white gloss with truffle brown and was finished with jasmine white corian worktops and incorporated a wide range of Miele appliances.
