The Brown Kitchen
Bolton
How do you marry functionality with the more woolly notion of creating a kitchen that is also ‘a sanctuary’. Stuart Frazer ensures the design transcends the sum of its parts.
The Brown family wanted a new wow factor, practical and contemporary kitchen that would retain all the warmth and character of the kitchen it was replacing – a traditional, painted wood kitchen that was the hub of the home.
The family chose four pieces of kitchen furniture that were on display in the Manchester showroom.
In designing the lay-out, Stuart Frazer gave careful thought to the placing of each of these pieces and worked with home-maker Karen Brown to ensure she remained confident in her choices. Stuart Frazer helped Karen choose additional furniture – rugs, soft mocha settees, wall artwork – to help her achieve a kitchen bordered by a fantastic family space that also doubled as a great entertainment zone.
