  3. Double win at Northern Design Awards

Stuart Frazer had a triumphant night at the Northern Design Awards, picking up two awards for kitchen design. Paul Rigby, designer at Stuart Frazer, won Kitchen of the Year and Room of the Year on Friday, 21st November, at the ceremony at the Devonshire Dome in Buxton.

The winning design is a modern interpretation of a Verbier ski chalet, and includes a dining area, utility room and bar. The client wanted to combine dark colours and natural materials with modern clean lines, minimal details and an integrated finish. They also wanted the view from the kitchen as a focal point for the room. Balancing these priorities was important to make this room a success.

The kitchen features SieMatic S2-K mali wenge laminate cupboards, paired with a 12mm silestone Amazon work surface to give the sleek finish. Paul also included the best Miele appliances and distinctive feature wall made of slate. For the full details of the kitchen, see the Regan Case Study

The awards are the latest in a string of successes, including accolades from the Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Awards. This is a winning end to a big year for Stuart Frazer, which marked 40 years in business and coming just weeks after they launched their third showroom in the Ribble Valley.

  4. Stuart Frazer launches Ribble Valley Showroom

Stuart Frazer launched its Ribble Valley showroom with a two-night gala and a cooking demonstration by celebrity chef patron Nigel Haworth from Northcote. Over 120 guests including VIPs joined the Stuart Frazer team for drinks and canapés at the new showroom, which is our third.

Mark Harrison, managing director, Stuart Frazer Kitchens Ltd, said: “The Ribble Valley showroom is amazing and displays some of the most beautiful and advanced kitchen designs available in the UK. It made sense to celebrate there and invite customers, VIPs and our industry partners to come and experience top of the range SieMatic kitchens in action. For me, I’m proud to have breathed life into an old mill building, created new jobs and achieved our aim of bringing Stuart Frazer to East Lancashire.”

Designed by Mr Harrison, the new showroom was a complex £150,000 renovation of the former loading and storage bay at the old Friendship Mill in Read. Over £100,000 was spent fitting out the 4,000 ft2 space to complement its sister showrooms in Manchester and Preston. It showcases five fully-operational SieMatic kitchens and has the potential to expand to 6,000ft2.

Guests attending the launch included customers, designers, architects, property developers and VIPs attending the event included Carl Fogarty, former world superbike racing champion, who has a kitchen designed by Mr Harrison. Northcote provided a delicious array of classic canapés for both nights including signature dishes such as mini Yorkshire puds with rare roast beef.

Michelin-star chef Nigel Haworth is one of Britain’s top practicing chefs. He demonstrated how to make Northcote-style Steak Tartar and Mulled Autumn Pear, Chilled Soup, Mace Honeycomb and Orange Syllabub on Thursday evening. Chef and Head Tutor of Northcote Cookery School Michael Vanheste, provided demonstrations on both gala nights and showed guests how to make Home-Cured Treacle Salmon, Pickled Ginger and Coriander Salad, Lime and Ginger Marshmallow and an Apple Crumble Soufflé. On Friday night, he was joined by Gaggenau’s leading home economist Sarah Gardner who demonstrated a range of Gaggenau appliances, cooking several dishes including brownies.

Stuart Frazer has a long association with Northcote, working with them to develop the recently-launched Northcote Cookery School kitchen and chef’s table, and its development kitchen.
Mr Haworth said: “Stuart Frazer helped us produce the best possible facility – a SieMatic kitchen with Gaggenau appliances. Its cutting-edge design, appliances and equipment have given Michael, head chef Lisa Allen and myself the perfect platform to teach cookery to Northcote Manor’s excellent standards. It was a pleasure to be a part of the Ribble Valley showroom launch and show guests how satisfying it is to cook in a brilliantly-designed kitchen.”

With 40-years’ experience, Stuart Frazer has become synonymous with the design and installation of SieMatic, Germany’s leading kitchen design company, and as its largest UK dealer has Premium Partner status with SieMatic. Stuart Frazer’s three showrooms feature 20 kitchen set-ups fitted with top-of-the-range appliances from Gaggenau, Miele and Neff, design and planning areas with samples of SieMatic’s 100 door styles in 1,950 colours, as well as complementary countertops

Mr Harrison said: “This was the first of many gala events that we will hold with Northcote Manor and Nigel and his team, and it was enjoyed by everyone. We were delighted to see past and present clients at the launch event. Some were new customers buying their first Stuart Frazer kitchens as well as some customers who are now buying their eighth kitchen from us. We are a kitchen company and proud of our specialism because it ensures we’re at the forefront of every technical innovation and design nuance. That’s why we have a design team that’s constantly winning awards as the best in the north and nationwide.”

Stuart Frazer’s Ribble Valley showroom is perfectly placed just off the M65 on the A671 in Read. It’s open from 9am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and by special appointment in the evenings and Sundays.

  6. Come and join our team

We are very excited to announce that we are looking for some new members to join our team.

We’re expanding and growing in all sorts of ways here, with the addition of our brand new showroom in Read, and our continued growth in the contracts market.

To help with our new showroom, and to keep our Manchester one looking glossy, we have seven new job vacancies!

You may already know all about us and what we stand for, but in case you don’t, or if you just want to hear it again, this is our story…

Mark Harrison started the business (

more years ago than he likes to be reminded of) with a focus on kitchens. That focus has never changed and we have been creating cutting-edge, contemporary kitchens ever since. We’re very proud to say we’re a SieMatic Premium Partner and probably the largest SieMatic dealer in the UK.

Design is one of our core skills and our lovely designers have won many awards for their outstanding work. Our installation team are pretty special too and an integral part of the business.

We design and install high-end kitchens all over the North West.

If that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, get in touch.

    The positions that we would like to fill are;

Showroom Manager/Sales – previous experience within our sector of the market is essential, as is a proven sales track record.

Sales/Designers – previous experience essential, but someone with less experience and a willingness to learn and develop will be considered.

CAD Designer – ideally with ‘Planit’ experience. Candidates with kitchen planning experience wanting to move into Sales and Design will be considered.

Trainee Kitchen/CAD Designer – CAD experience required, as is artistic flair and an eye for detail

Customer service is something that we are proud to say we do very well. We give every single customer careful attention and aim to not only meet, but exceed their expectations. We are looking forward to welcoming some new team members who would like to be a part of this.

High-end kitchens for private clients are a huge part of what we do, but they’re not everything. We are now actively expanding into the ‘contract’ market with several partnerships with ‘top end’ developers and architects. We enjoy working with partners to ensure our kitchens fit perfectly within the design of a building.

We can’t do it all alone though so we are now looking for three key people to join our Contract Division. These people should have expertise in sales/design within this sector. There is potential for one of these candidates to run the division.

If you want to join a team that will give you a challenge, as well as an opportunity to design and sell high-end kitchens, then send full CVs to Mark Harrison, Managing Director, 554-556 Bury New Road, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 3BD.

We look forward to welcoming you to our team!

  7. Stunning kitchens in designer homes

Thirteen new, individually designed homes have been completed in Delamere Gardens, Fixby.

A partnership between Armitage Bridge architects One17 Design and the UK’s largest SieMatic kitchen dealer Stuart Frazer has helped make the project work.

The two companies have been able to create striking kitchens that reflect the design and structure of the space within the houses. The end result is now a complex of high-end one-off homes.

Speaking about the partnership, Frazer Harrison, of Lancashire kitchen provider Stuart Frazer, said “The partnership is a really good one and it’s easy to understand each other’s needs because One17 are excellent architects.”

Each of the homes is completely different, which reflects the flexibility and skill of both parties in their ability to turn any space into an aspirational environment.

One17 designed the houses to best fit the shape of the land and orientation of the original site.

Stuart Frazer then designed and installed their innovative German kitchens.

Most of the buyers have been to visit Stuart Frazer at their showrooms – in Manchester, in Read in the Ribble Valley and in Preston – to have their own input on their kitchens.

One 17’s Emma Cockcroft said, “We collaborated with Stuart Frazer on a number of our individual residential projects for private clients and felt the quality of the SieMatic kitchens, combined with the service provided by Stuart Frazer made them the logical choice for the kitchens at Delamere.

One17 also commissioned bespoke furniture to go with the SieMatic kitchens to ensure the design elements flowed through the properties.

Prices for the properties range from £750,000 to £1,225,000.
